AMS.Guardian
In a post 9/11 world, heightened concern over the safety and welfare of our children as they are transported to and from school and related activities has prompted parents, school districts, and community emergency management centers to seek improved situational awareness and better communications.
Provanté’s response is AMS.Guardian, a solution that enables emergency and school officials to know where each vehicle is at all times; equips vehicle drivers with the means to alert officials of emergency situations; and eliminates miscommunication by providing two-way messaging among schools, emergency officials, and school vehicles.

Mobile phone technology is not enough.

In real emergency situations, AMS.Guardian works, no matter what. Unlike public telephone services and private wireless networks, AMS.Guardian relies on geosynchronous satellites in orbit thousands of miles above earth. These satellites are not affected by weather or man-made disasters, and they can’t be overwhelmed by a deluge of emergency calls.

Added features for expanded safety and security.

Provanté offers optional features that can provide even greater tracking and monitoring capabilities. School officials can track vehicles on maps with current weather overlays, for example. Or establish travel parameters for each bus and be notified if the bus leaves that zone. They can maintain logs. Handle route and schedule changes. Monitor vehicle speed. Track the number of students on board at all times. Or even offer remote commands to kill the engine or open the doors in emergency situations. AMS.Guardian is meant to be tailored to provide as much control as our clients desire.

Extend vital student information to parents.

At a Texas County’s Board of Education’s request, Provanté has designed an extension to AMS.Guardian that uses RFID technology to record when and where students board and depart buses and when they enter and leave schools. This allows school districts to provide a valuable service to parents by enabling them to access a Provanté-hosted website with current information regarding their children’s whereabouts.
